Circulation section

Circulation section is the gateway between users and documents so it plays a major role to any Library and Information System. KIET Central Library Circulation Section performs issue, renewal, return of books using Bees Campus soft package. Apart from these basic tasks many other jobs like membership registration, issue no-dues certificate, inter library lone, overdue fine collection, book reservation, various e-mail alert generation, etc. and all kind of queries by the users are being performed by this section.

Reference Services

The library maintains a separate reference collection consisting of encyclopaedias, dictionaries, handbooks, back volumes, rare books, projects, almanacs, atlases, bibliographies and CD-Rom etc. The section renders short and long range reference service. Reference books are marked by 'R' and are not issued to anyone. 'R' books can be issued only after the permission of librarian for overnight by detaining the user's pass book. Reader's may approach the Reference Desk for information or any assistance in the use of the library collections and services. User's may also contact the Reference Division for any type of help related to library services.

Special collection for SC/ST Category

The books purchased / donated from the special grant of the Social Welfare Department, AP. Govt. is kept in this section. Generally books are issued only to ST/SC Students. If there is no demand from ST/SC students only then the books are issued to general category students.

XEROX SERVICES

Our library has Xerox facility for its users at very concessional rate. The charges for xerox is Rs. 0.75 (A4).
